WW2 Royal Artillery 1st Division Felt Formation Sign

A white triangle representing the 1st Division sewn on top of an equally blue and red diamond. Cole states this formation sign was often improvised out of ordnance stores, as appears to be the case of the one for sale here.

the 1st Division fought with great distinction at Dunkirk with the BEF, North Africa in 1942 and then Italy.
