Militia Artillery Busby Brass Badge and Plume Holder
A militia other ranks brass 1855 general pattern plume holder. Many corps of militia wore the busby with full dress for a period beyond 1882 when gold lace and gilt and brass badges were introduced for all the Militia Artillery. Plumes were worn in these holders were usually made of white goat or horse hair, 6 inches in height and worn on the left side of the busby. The busby itself was made of brown or black fur.
Some minor spotting / staining otherwise in very good condition with original slider and sharp detail.
