WW2 Monte Cassino Group Attributed to a Polish Soldier (Poland)
Acquired some time ago, these items all came together (so will not split), dog tags, cloth / bullion insignia and medal ribbon bar with the Monte Cassino metal attachment as worn by Polish forces present at the siege.
British issue dog tags to serving Polish soldier, translates as follows (happy to be corrected):
A. P. = Armia Polska
1923 - His year of birth
1096/III - Army No 1096 /3rd Battalion
RZ KAT - Roman Catholic
KOZIKOWSKI- Surname
WACLAW - Forename
He would have served with 2nd Corps. Researchable.
