WW2 Lucknow Contingent Bronze Medallion - Attributed and dated 1944

A bronze medallion with the badge / crest of the Lucknow Rifles in relief on the obverse, engraved around this are the words Lucknow Contingent and below A.F.(I). On the reverse in upright capitals is engraved Pte. R. Ferns, 2nd, 1944. Circa 33mm in diameter with loop for suspension and suspension ring. Edge knocks and dinged with some touches of verdigris to one side but in overall reasonable condition and worthy of further research.
