Indian Army - Bombay Light Horse White Metal Die Struck Cap Badge
Of UK manufacture given it is die struck. Two original lugs to the reverse. Circa 3.9cm tall. In very good condition.
The Bombay Light Horse were part of the cavalry reserve of the British Indian Army, disbanded in 1947. This is the earlier pattern badge, which changed in 1933 to reflect their mechanisation as the Bombay Light Patrol. They were mobilised for the first time since WW1 in 1929 to assist in the suppression of riots in Bombay.
