A small attractive King's Crown enamelled unmarked silver lapel badge for the Officer's Training Corps (OTC). Made by J.R. Gaunt, London. In good condition complete with a lapel button-hole fixing. No damage to enamel. Registered design number 627163 to reverse, which gives this design a registration date of between 1913 and 1914.

Circa 25mm in diameter, fixed shank and maker marked Herbert & Co, London. Some service wear / nibbles to edges otherwise a scarce button. It was worn post 1880 but with a change of the number to '24' in place of '49' on the circlet.
