The Ajmer Regiment was an Indian Army Regiment raised during the Second World War. In good condition for a cast badge with its original slider. Circa 4cm tall.

The 1st and 2nd Battalions of the Ajmer Regiment were converted from the 26th and 27th Battalions, 4th Bombay Grenadiers, and disbanded after the war.

The 1st and 3rd Battalions served in India through out the War.

The 2nd Ajmer Regiment saw action in Burma. The 2nd Battalion served on Line of Communication duties in Assam with 202nd Line of Communications Area from January 1943 to March 1944 and with 36th Indian Infantry Brigade from the end June 1944 at Cox's Bazaar to November 1944, and subsequently in the Ukhia area and on Cheduba Island. Scarce.
