WW1 9th Battalion ( Highlanders ) The Royal Scots - Standing Orders (or how to wear your sporran!) + small photo of Royal Scots Officer
A small WW1 hard bound red pocket sized book with gilt lettering and Royal Scots badge to front, 66 pages, in total. Some staining and fading marks to front cover but internally a good clean copy. It has been annotated in ink in the front pages as the property of W. F. Radford, 2090, E Company, No 3 Section as his address as 2 James Place. Leith. His Rifle number has also been noted as No 504. It came with a few loose items included in its pages including a WW1 era small photo of an officer of the Royal Scots (unattributed and badly creased) and a patriotic paper bookmark with crossed union flag and Royal Navy flag.
Some of the instructions in the book are dated 1913 so this is most probably pre War Territorial issue, also suggests he served in the ranks before being commissioned in WW1.
A quick google throws up

Which shows a Captain William Frederick George Radford as having served with the Royal Scots (Lothian) Regiment during WW1. Worthy of further research.
