The design for this badge was not fixed until late November 1914 by the Tyneside Scottish Committee, and was replaced by the more imposing 2nd pattern badge in January 1915. Large POW feathers, a quality die struck white metal example with three original loops to the reverse (some twisting but functional). Circa 5.4cms tall and 5.6cms wide. Some slight polishing to highpoint on central plume otherwise a pleasing example.

Royal Scots Dragoon Guards (RSDG) NCOs Bi Metal Arm Badge
Bi Metal arm badge with all three original loops to reverse. Slight spotting otherwise in condition with minor service wear to loops. Reverse has a stock number written on a panel of white paint. Would have been worn on a mourning black back backing. Circa 47mm tall and 38mm wide.
Formed in 1971 by amalgamation of the 3rd Carabiniers and Royal Scots Greys.

A die struck white metal arm badge with horizontal motto scroll, with two original loops (east - west) to reverse. In very good condition. A large pattern is shown against this badge for scale purposes only, it is not for sale with this badge. Circa.44mm wide by 40mm tall.

Worn on the Smasher (Slouch) Hat. Gaylor claims the Pagri. Huge badge compared to the normal issue (see the second photo for a comparison with the badge listed below). Bi-metal with sweat hole to the reverse. Lugs look different in colour but both original. A smashing badge!

Prince Albert's Own Leicestershire Yeomanry Cavalry Officer's Silver Plated Small Coatee Button, circa 1840
small silver plated officer's coatee button of circa 1840s vintage with scarce early maker, Hamburger, London. Fixed shank. Circa 16mm in diameter. Some wear to plate and bronze is showing through. Still, an attractive and scarce early button.
This unit was 10th in the order of precedence of yeomanry regiments. First raised in 1803.
