11th Hussars (Prince Albert's Own) Officer 's Bullion Collar Badge
Worn example as worn by The Officers, The RSM and the Bandmaster in No 1 Dress and by the Bandmaster in the Frock Coat. In very good condition, colours bright and bullion undamaged. Paper backing half present and traces of glue to the reverse. Circa 4.3cm tall and 4.5cm wide. Worn pre 1969.
The 11th Hussars did not wear a badge in the beret. Thank you to Martin for pointing this out that the 11th Hussars had the distinction of being the only British regiment to NOT wear a badge in their beret, a privilege granted to the Regiment by King George V. Langridge also confirms this in Note 2 to Plate 5.
