7th Queen's Own Hussars NCO's White Metal Arm Badge on Correct Scarlet Felt Backing

As worn until 1958, this is in white metal with two original loops NS to the reverse (one bent slightly downwards) with scarlet felt backing. The scarlet backing was granted at the request of the Commanding Officer who was perturbed that the Regiment might be mistaken for the Army Catering Corps because both had similar shaped badges. A St Edward's (QEII) crown was never worn by the 7H. Circa 54mm tall and 35mm wide.
