British Colonial Civilian Military Government Officer Embroidered KD Slip on Shoulder Title - Attributed

Bright yellow on green with no damage and the two original retaining strips to the reverse (some paper stuck to these as removed from a display board). It would have been worn on the K.D. tunic.

This is from the collection of the late Professor Charles Thomas, who recorded it has having been issued to a J.D. Winsome of the Ministry of Agriculture when posted to Eritrea. Until it was occupied in 1941 by the Allies, Eritrea was one of Italy's North African Colonies. it was ceded to Ethiopia in 1952. Scarce.
