Royal Pakistan Air Force ( RPAF ) Gilding Metal Cap Badge, 1947 - 1950 only

A scarce badge, issued post partition from India in 1947 and replaced in 1950 with a republican version with PAF in place of RPAF and a crescent and star in place of the King 's crown. With two original loops to the reverse. Some verdigris to rear otherwise in good condition. Circa 4.5cm tall.

The Royal Pakistan Air Force (RPAF) was established on 14 August 1947 with the independence of Pakistan from British India. The RPAF began with a paper share allotment of 2,332 personnel.
