Leicestershire Yeomanry Cavalry ( LYC ) ( Prince Albert 's Own ) Brass Cap Badge, 1910 - 1915 only

A good stiff die struck gilding metal brass cap badge with original slider with sharp detail. This pattern sealed 1910 and only worn until 1915 when replaced with the Saxe-Coburg design ( like the 11th Hussars cap badge). Also found in white metal. Much reproduced but this is an original - compare with the reproductions listed at the following url:

This unit was 10th in the order of precedence of yeomanry regiments. First raised in 1803.
