Durham Light Infantry ( D.L.I. ) Officer 's Field Service Cap, Pre 1952

Excellent quality officers field service cap in dark green melton cloth with die struck white metal cap badge on two original loops (east - west) and with two brass DLI regimental cap sized buttons to front both with a king's crown. Brown oil-cloth lining and retailers details "Conway Williams of Brook Street, Mayfair, London" and ink annotation J.H. Taylor, signifying the officer who owned it. Only fault appears to be a pin prick sized hole at back. An Edwardian pattern badge, but a later hat. However, you could always put a nice hallmarked silver one in its place!

Regret unable to post to USA due to textile import restrictions. Please note the head is for display and is not for sale.
