WW2 Norway - Free Norwegian Forces 1942 Birmingham hallmarked silver cap badge

An excellent die-cast example on loops. Within an oak wreath, crowned cypher of King Haakon VII. Maker marked JRG & S (JR Gaunt & Sons) and Date letter S for 1942. Circa 3.6cm in diameter. Scarce.

Coincidently this was the year of formation of the No 10 ( Interallied ) Commando which included No 5 Troop formed of Norwegians. So also of special forces interest. Private purchase and therefore no doubt an officer's issue.
