Lieutenant - General Sir George White, V.C., G.C.B. Photographic Boer War Commemorative Celluloid Tin Tinnie Button Badge

A scarce Boer War celluloid tin button badge with clear photograph of General Sir George Stewart White V.C., G.C.B., in army uniform, the reverse with original paper backing with maker's details "The Whitehead & Hoag Co. Newark, N.J. Patented July 17, 1894. April 14, 1896." Very good clean condition, complete with pin fitting. Circa 22mm in diameter.

General White was in command of the troops in the Natal and was the gallant defender of Ladysmith in the Boer War.
