Scarce WW2 10th Battalion Durham Light Infantry ( DLI ) / 49th ( West Riding ) Division 1st Pattern Printed Cloth Combination - Iceland

A scarce combination on battledress backing, first pattern printed 49th Division Polar Bear, with three red felt stripes below and in felt the rifle green and central red stripe of the 10th Battalion DLI below. Some glue traces to the front and rear, but super scarce.

Apparently In August 1941, Iceland was visited by Churchill who gave his customary V sign salute and was answered by a few of the `Durham’s`more traditional version!
