WW2 War Raised Unit - 26th Hussars Brass Cap Badge

Die struck cap badge with two original lugs to the reverse. A good stiff badge with sharp detail. The very small orb to the very top of the Hapsburg crown has been sheered off, otherwise great condition.

The Regiment was raised in India in 1941. The 26th Hussars adopted the Prussian eagle in brass which no doubt arose out of their being formed from a cadre of the 14th / 20th King's Hussars.
