Original Boer War Era Cabinet Photo dated 1899 - Royal Artillery - named J. Howard

A good condition cabinet of Royal Artillery solider. Named and dated on reverse in a contemporary ink hand:

"J. Howard, Royal Artillery, Nov 18th, 1899." Possibly taken before his departure to the South African war. Worthy of further research.
