Canada - Canadian 50th ( Calgary, Alberta ) Overseas Battalion CEF Enamel and Gilt Souvenir Mess Card / Menu Holder - Registered Design

A scarce and unusual find, a commecially produced (registered design stamped to reverse strut) menu holder in the form of an enamelled CEF Cap Badge above a pair of rifles as legs, with a hoop to the reverse to hold either a place card or menu. It stands 9cm tall, the badge is circa 4.6cm tall. Much of the blue enamel from the bottom scroll is missing but the other enamel is in good condition. It does not stand very straight, but does stand. Gilt bright. Registed design number is poorly stamped so not able to read.
