WW1 The Manchester Regiment Pals 16th,17th, 18th, 19th, 20th, 21st, 22nd, & 23rd ( Service ) Battalions Cap Badge

A solid non-voided version of the regular cap badge, a very indistinct striking in bronzy / coppery finish, which looks cheap and poorly struck, but has its loops correctly located e-w and at the very edge of the badge. The reverse shows the correct bronze patina, which has been polished off mainly to front ( 1st - 8th City Battalions). Circa 5cm wide and 4.2cm tall. Slight twisting to the lugs with service wear.
