The 18th ( Queen Mary's Own ) Hussars Other Ranks White Metal Cap Badge

Die struck other rank 's cap badge comprising a circlet in white metal inscribed ' Queen Mary's Own ' surmounted by an Imperial Crown. In the centre the Roman numerals XVIII with original slider. In very good condition.

Worn from 1910 onwards when King George V and Queen Mary took to the Throne. Prior to this, they had been known as the Princess of Wales's Own and wore a larger cap badge in brass.
