Irish Republic General Service Miniature Medal (1917-21) - Maker Marked Quinn
The Service (1917-1921) Medal with "Comrac" Bar (meaning combat or action) was awarded to persons who rendered active military service during the War of Independence. There were over 15,000 full size Medals awarded in this class.
Sometimes also referred to as the "Black and Tan" Medal. This is not a modern copy of the miniature medal circulating on famous auction sites, but has some age to it and is maker marked by Dublin medallists "Quinn".
Good sharp detail to the clasps and medal itself. Disc is about 19mm in diameter. Some minor wear to reverse, but otherwise in good condition.
