A pre 1952 example, silver and gold wire embroidered with coloured silks, in issued condition. Only a small amount of black paper backing remains to the reverse. In good overall worn condition and colours bright. This pattern was worn from 1902. Circa 5.8cms tall including the green felt backing.

King's crown officers bronze service dress cap badge with two original blades to the reverse. The Hampshire Rose to the centre of a crowned Garter Strap on a multi-rayed star bearing the title scroll, " Hampshire ". As worn until 1946 when they became 'Royal'.

Of superb quality, no lugs (or signs of them ever having been fitted so perhaps intended for wear on a field service cap or pagri band). Die cast in bronze and of two piece construction, with fretted mount and scroll South Africa 1900 - 02 below. Two of two original blades to the reverse, very slight signs of fracture at point of attachment so not recommended these are opened or played with. Worn 1908 - 1924 on the SD cap.
