A die struck white metal cap badge with two original loops to the reverse ( e-w ) and maker marked Ludlow London, this has been embossed in the reverse of the mouth of the bugle. A die cast gilt example of two part construction with flames to 14 points and with two original long loops to the reverse (also found with a small slider). Scarce officers hallmarked silver cap badge with original pagri brooch pin fitting makers details for " B & P " and Birmingham assay hallmarks for 1904 (date letter 'e'). The " P A " monogram within the strings of a bugle horn surmounted by the Mural Crown and the honour scroll, " Jellalabad ". Badge blacked toned black from storage. In superb condition and rare.

A pre 1952 example, silver and gold wire embroidered with coloured silks, in issued condition. Only a small amount of black paper backing remains to the reverse. In good overall worn condition and colours bright. This pattern was worn from 1902. Circa 5.8cms tall including the green felt backing.
