Victorian 5th Fusiliers / Northumberland Fusiliers Officers Silver & Gilt Mess Dress Shoulder Badge Ornament
A favourite badge of mine, not immediately one that would be associated with the 5th Northumberland Fusiliers, but this was the badge worn on various forms of shoulder decoration by officers from 1836 until 1898. The grenade is finely struck, and silver plated, now dark toned with traces of old polish with a gilt rose and QVC crown separately mounted. At some point the retaining wires have be... read more
The Royal Irish Regiment Officer's OSD Bronze Cap Badge - Blades - Jennens
A stunning example, looks unworn, with two original blades to reverse and maker's mark "J&Co" (Jennens).
Best I have handled.

Royal Fusiliers (City of London Regiment) Officers Bronze OSD Cap Badge, Kings Crown
A good scarce heavy die cast bronze example circa 1902-53. Two original blades to the reverse (one with slight damage.
Please note the blades are delicate and one of them has a split in it at the point where it joins to the badge, so I definitely do not recommend opening or playing with the blades on this badge. Sold as seen.

Yorkshire Light Infantry (KOYLI) Officers Silver Plated, Gilt & Enamel Cap Badge
Of two-part construction with black enamel centre disk behind a silvered rose (padded with material presumably to act as a 'shock absorber' to prevent damage to the enamel disc). In good overall condition complete with two original long lugs (some twisting) but with some wear to the gilt finish.
