A rare example of the pattern worn by members of 664 & 658 Parachute Squadrons Army Air Corps during the 1970's. The red beret with anodised Army Air Corps cap badge set onto a nylon miniature of the units DZ badge. The interior retaining NATO issue label of the early style with UK head size. WW2 Norway - Free Norwegian Forces 1942 Birmingham hallmarked silver cap badge
An excellent die-cast example on loops. Within an oak wreath, crowned cypher of King Haakon VII. Maker marked JRG & S (JR Gaunt & Sons) and Date letter S for 1942. Circa 3.6cm in diameter. Scarce.
Coincidently this was the year of formation of the No 10 ( Interallied ) Commando which included No 5 Troop formed of Norwegians. So also of special forces interest. Privat... read more

WW2 Phantom Embroidered Cloth White letter ' P ' on Black Rectangle Formation Sign
G.H.Q. Liaison Regiment, as worn by so called " Phantom " units using fast moving armoured signalling vehicles in the forward battle areas to transmit information back to G.H.Q. concerning enemy troop movements and break-throughs.
