A scarce HAC button as per Grenadier Guards in design but found in white metal as worn by the HAC infantry Battalion, with the cypher for King Edward VII, dating it to circa 1901 - 1910.

Circa 26mm in diameter, open backed with fixed shank, maker marked Firmin & Sons, 153 Strand & 13 Conduit Street, London. Gilt back to the copper, looks like it has been aggressively cleaned which has damaged the overall finish and sharpness of the detail. Shank also looks a little damaged but still functional. Poor condition reflected in price.
