WW2 Official Canada / Canadian Mercantile Marine / Merchant Navy Navy Silver Lapel Badge
A lovely example with pin and retaining nut.
The Canadian government created the badge in 1941 to recognize the service of Canada's merchant mariners, most of whom wore civilian clothing ashore because they had no uniforms. In 1948, the Canadian government extended eligibility to Canadian merchant mariners who had served in Allied merchant ships.

WW1 Canada - 183rd (Manitoba Beavers) Infantry Battalion CEF Officer's Full Dress Collar Badge
Gilt and silver plate with original pin fitting. Maker marked Dingwalls, Winnepeg to reverse. Circa 3.9cms tall. I have seen the same pattern by this maker in bronze with blades, but I believe this to a collar badge rather than a sweetheart. It has no obvious marks of having been fitted with anything other than the pin fitting. Happy to be corrected.
